To ensure TimoDesk works properly on your Mac (tracking time, capturing screenshots, and monitoring activity), you need to grant a few system permissions manually. Don’t worry — it takes less than 2 minutes.
Why Are These Permissions Required?
macOS protects your privacy by restricting app access to certain system features. TimoDesk requires the following permissions to function correctly:
- Accessibility → To detect activity status
- Screen & System Audio Recording → To capture screenshots
- Input Monitoring → To measure keyboard and mouse activity
If these are not enabled, tracking and screenshots may not work properly.
Step 1: Open Privacy & Security Settings
- Open Settings

- Go to Privacy & Security

Step 2: Enable Accessibility Permission
Inside Privacy & Security, select Accessibility

Find and select TimoDesk

Turn the toggle ON (enter your password if prompted).
Step 3: Enable Screen & System Audio Recording
Go back to Privacy & Security
Select Screen & System Audio Recording

Enable TimoDesk

Step 4: Enable Input Monitoring
Go back to Privacy & Security
Select Input Monitoring

Enable TimoDesk

Final Step: Restart TimoDesk
After enabling all permissions, completely quit TimoDesk and open it again. This ensures macOS applies the new permissions correctly.
