The installer is digitally signed, so Smart App Control opens it with no publisher warning. It does not need the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime or any other software, so a new hire can install it on their own.

What the app records on a PC
Pick a project and a task, then press play. The app reads browser URLs by itself on Windows, so website tracking works with no extension. When the timer stops, the app records nothing.

Which versions of Windows does TimoDesk support?
Windows 10 and Windows 11. Download the .exe installer, run it, then sign in with the email and password you use for the dashboard.
Will Windows show a security warning when I install it?
No publisher warning. The installer is digitally signed, so Smart App Control opens it without one.
Do I need to install anything else first?
No. The installer includes its own runtime, so you do not need the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime or any framework, and IT has nothing extra to approve.
Do I need a browser extension on Windows?
No. The desktop app reads browser URLs itself on Windows. The TimoDesk Live Team Monitor extension is optional. It lets organizers, managers and team managers see who is online, and it is not part of tracking.
Does TimoDesk record what I type?
No. The app counts how much you use the keyboard and mouse to measure activity. It never records which keys you press or what you type.
Can I track time on Windows without internet?
Yes. The app keeps tracking with no connection and syncs when you are back online, as long as you reconnect within 30 days.
